We' just built the latest in long-travel 29er bliss from Niner Bikes, the WFO. Niner says WFO stands for Wide Full Open, but I have always know that acronym to mean something slightly different (Wide F'ing Open). Go figure, they played it nice. The bike doesn't play nice though - come try out our demo if you are leaning that direction.
The RIP is Niner's original award-winning daulie, and the updated 2009 improves on a good thing. Beefy custom tubing mate to a tapered headtube. New 1-piece forged linkages stiffen the rear end, and refinements such as adjustable seatpost cable routing tabs have been added.
Niner created their special edition MCR in a unique paint scheme celebrating the International Mountain Bike Association. This is a fund raiser for IMBA, with Niner donating a portion of their proceeds to IMBA from the sale of these limited edition frame & fork sets - 25 total.
The Topo map scheme is sharp. It was applied by Spectrum Powdercoat in Colorado Springs, who had done a run of framesets for me in the past as well - excellent work. This theme and a thick coat of yellow set this MCR apart from all others. A Matching rigid fork is included. We have a medium. The MCR is a Reynolds 853 steel tubeset, and a wonderful ride.
The standard MCR is no slouch either. We currently have this large, gold, beauty in stock.
Love the big bike with the completely bomber WFO. This model features a 150mm-spacing Maxel thru-axle for the ultimate in stiffness, and is equiped with a Fox DHX Air 5.0.
