It's been hitting triple-digits here in the Grand Valley. Below is an artist's rendition of Palisade in July.
Fear not, intrepid traveler... temps are quite lovely in the early morning. For the afternoons, a dip in the river brings relief. And with the 10,000-foot Grand Mesa a half-hour away, escape to the high country is always an option. Don't forget, oppressive sun begets outstanding peaches! |

It's a good thing 3-year-olds don't look at the internet. Otherwise Porter L might find out what he's geting for his birthday!
Porter learned on a "run bike" - a simple, coasting kid's ride that teaches balance before locomotion. Now he's ready for cogs and sprockets. And brakes. This 16" Mirraco BMXer came with training wheels, but we left those in the box. |
